Anne,
I am so sorry about Kevin.  May great memories give you strength in a very difficult time for you and your family.

Janet,
Wonderful space!  I think they make "channels" that the wires cluster into down to the box.  It would be a single strip down the center and probably can be painted the wall color.  Or run the wires behind the wall.
For the tv box, perhaps you could make a box of the mantel  material.  If you need access to the front of the tv box make it a drop down panel.  Just a thought!

Absolutely right!!  She would love the last one you posted, also.   clap
By the way, the last in-the- spirit- of -Marty post came at a time when I was thinking I sure miss Marty's view of the world!   bow

Beautiful cat, Mirta.  Does she have an all-white body?

Caitie,
I am so sorry about your little Ozzie.  She was a beautiful feathered friend.

Jen - I'm not complaining, but it is a house.  It doesn't float.  I'll feel better when we get the trailorable boat.  That said, a few more weeks (I'm waiting for the fireplace to get installed) and I'll post the before and after interior pictures.  It is a very nice, very well insulated house - good thing since it is all electric  scared blue  One of the things that I want to do and simply haven't found the time to is to get my compost heap going.  It has been killing me to throw away the peelings and such from all of the veggies that I put up for the winter (the garage freezer is full of veggies and that fridge is full of white wine).

Bird Crazy - the cats, pixie, and baby dragon are all weaterproof resin - they are fun and I do get to torment Rich about the cats! halloween2

Janet,
Do you have room in the freezer for all the peelings?  If so, save them like that until you get the composter going and then get them cooking - compost-style!!

p.s I think it is time for you to  get a cat by some fortuitous "accident" like "Oh, Rich, it just wandered up to the door"!

I am not sure if I am replying to the turtle or the shar-peis. I have not quite figured out the reply procedure.  At any rate,  I will say a word about both . The turtle is a handsome fellow, and I love the shar-peis, aka the wrinkle dog.  They have such deeply expressive faces and those wrinkles.   I can only hope that my own wrinkles look as good!

Malou is a grand looking dog!  My neighbor has a pure-bred male boxer that looks so much like Malou.  The exception is that Gator's tail and ears have been docked.  From the size of her feet in the puppy photo, I bet you knew she would be very large!

Lovely home, Janet and it seems the birds just gravitate to your location. Beautiful photos of the birds.  I would not be surprised if your four-legged ones Blackie and Willy find their way to their humans.  Have you been back to check on them and Bald Bart?
Is that your monster mum in your garden or did you leave it on the dock?

Patricia
p.s. I love your Bart photo on your posts.

This is my first post on the new forum.  Hope it works.
