I just checked the site and found a very healthy and active eyas being fed by an adult, presumably the father.  There was bright sunshine coming in from the nest entrance.

Me to Paul...here's the little male
I love this picture.I hope Dad can manage to take care of the little one.Good to hear the girls are taken care of. Sad

We thought we only had one hatch.  Did three eggs hatch during the day today?  I saw the egg shells.  First hatch was scheduled for today, Earth Day!!
Around 14.00 hrs NY time I watched the cam and saw two fluffy eyases, the third one hatched about an hour ago ,it was still wet.Greetings Carla

Hi Donna,
The mom was driven off, but watchers don't know if she was killed. She is not found yet.The male did not get a chance to feed the babies because the new female took all his food and she did not feed the little ones. It's very sad. There is a new female and maybe there will be new eggs.I cannot think clearly about that.
Greetings Carla

No happy ending for the little ones. They didn't survive. The inside cam doesn't work at the moment and will be started up tomorrow .
There are hatches going on at the same page (zwolle) and maybe Tilburg.
I can hardly watch.

Of course Amsterdam is the only nest that's dark and you can't tell what's going on. Maybe we don't need to.  Sad
It's possible dad feeds them at night and keeps them warm.Let's hope so.

I was wondering, since there is no aircraft operating since Thursday,(volcanic ash)and this nestbox is in the neighbourhood of Schiphol Airport , there is only silence and the sounds of so many other birds
could this have influenced the falcons. They are not used to  this silence, and they can hear each other better.Just wondering.

They are still alone and it looks like the 4th egg is hatching....Any news? Carla?
Watchers on the ground say there is a new female ,which is taken the prey from the male .They say he tries to reach the youngsters with the prey but she takes it all.He is flying around with her like he is accepting her as his new mate.It looks like the fourth egg is broken, good be a hatch. They still don't get enough food but they are alive. It does not look good at all.I hope maybe Tine can tell us more about what is going on or maybe Aafke , Where Are You................
Hope for the best !!!!!!
Greetings Carla

There is possible a third falcon (female) around the nest .There is a lot interuption in the feedings. The chicks are alone most of the time and don't get much food.I was worried because I was watching the fourth egg to hatch. They were allone for hours I searched other forums and found this sad worries.
