Guess we're going to have to wait another day...
Wednesday November 4, 2009 Due to a forecast of high winds, the banding has been rescheduled until tomorrow (Thursday November 5, 2009) at 10am Australian EDST. Hopefully the weather will be kind as this will be our last opportunity to band our three chicks. Any longer and there will be an increased risk that the chicks may attempt flight when the researchers approach the nest box.
There will be no banding at all,you can read it on the alcoa site. There are troubles with the facilitys(traffic accident)The chicks could be banded over a week, but they can fly then and it would be to dangerous. Greetings Carla

Mariah was back. She was imitating a kite so well, just floating above the square St. Ann's bldg. How does she do that!!! It's as if she isn't moving a muscle, just hanging on the wind. The pigeons weren't happy and all took flight. Mariah didn't seem interested, so we can only assume that she had been successfull on her earlier hunt. She gracefully floated off towards the north. Kathy and I waited for her to return, but she didn't. We discovered an old cemetery near the parking lot. It was the Hooker Cemetery. It was an old pioneer cemetery with markers from the mid-1800's. Kathy and I decided to check it out. Was there a better way to end our Halloween Falcon Watch? HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! Thanks Carol, Great watchreport, greetings Carla

Watching bunnies do "binkies" is very funny. ...When they're successful at getting away with something they know they're not supposed to do, they "binky" all over the place! you mean there's a name for those? I always just vaguely thought of them as the result of bunnies being born with explosive charges set in their backsides, about which their alleged brains know nothing. It can only be compared to the way baby mice avail themselves of black holes rather than rational space to get around. Hi Dale, i love the Bunnies to.Too funny greetings Carla
