I can't believe it's almost hatch time already!

Looks good! These 2 are consistent from year to year.  I think they're in a rut.

On our live streaming page, when you click on the "IBM" in the upper right of a channel, it opens the Ustream Live page for that channel. Below that live video are the recorded videos. To save you the trouble, I have included the links for the recordings made when DC was on the eggs. The link for Channel 1 is

http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/114537464

And the corresponding link for Channel 2 is

http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/114537517

Both recordings show DC noticing something wrong with one of the eggs at about 11:49. Shortly afterward he was pecking at it and eating something hanging out of it. Then he stopped and settled back onto the eggs.

When Beauty arrived at 12:42, he got up and left with the egg stuck on his belly. Whatever was oozing out of the egg dried and glued itself firmly onto his feathers.

Wherever DC went is where the egg went.

I assume you meant 12:43. Please don't crop off the timestamp.

In the future, if you see something important happen in the nest box on camera and you're unable to tweet, please use the Rfalconcam Now function on the forum. Anything posted there will automatically be tweeted to the local watchers. Thanks.

I agree 100%.

Updated egg sitting chart!

Thank you!

Here's something you don't see very often...a tiercel on the eggs sleeping with his head under his wing!

That's usually a quick way to know who it is...99.9% of the time it's the female.

Rough Saturday night?

OK-room booked at the Holiday Inn (used to be Rochester Plaza I think)! Riverside is sold out (or so they say) and Hyatt & Hilton were a bit pricey for that weekend.

You are correct. The Rochester Plaza Hotel became a Holiday Inn on 2015.

Also, for those not familiar with the name Riverside (aka Rochester Riverside Hotel), it used to be the Radisson. It changed ownership last October. Interestingly, The Riverside was a Holiday Inn many years ago.

Nice job as usual, Ei. Thank you!

Thank you, everyone. It was cold and windy, but the rain held off, and the crowd was in high spirits.

The event kicked off in the Frontier Field VIP parking lot where the sponsors set up their booths. The hot coffee and healthy snacks were popular items. There was a stage and a band. Before the run/walk started, a local high school girl sang the national anthem. The only flag in view was the newly replaced one on the Powers Building.

At 9 AM, the runners took off, and we walkers followed. We headed down Plymouth then turned left on Main into Downtown. Along the way, we passed by many of the landmarks familiar to falcon watchers: Kodak, FCT, Powers, Wilder, the "Hole," Mercury, Times Square, Blue Cross Arena, Broad Street Bridge, the library, Tower 280, the Metropolitan, OCSR, and Crossroads. I made sure to point out the nest boxes and cameras to my walking team. They all repeatedly spotted falcons (gulls) flying above. (We may have some new watchers this year. These people have all of the mandatory skills: they can look up to spot birds, and they lack the sense not to go downtown in the freezing cold.)

The walk lasted for about an hour. Afterward, a few of us stayed around long enough for the Genesee Brew House to open for lunch at 11 where we enjoyed large amounts of food and beverage (so much for the healthy heart walk) and dared the freezing rain to come and encase cars in a thick cocoon of ice that would laugh at our cheap plastic scrapers. Fortunately, the rain was too chicken to accept our dare, and we left without incident at 1 PM.

I arrived home safely and proceeded to take a short 5-hour nap.

Once again, thank you to everyone who donated to the American Heart Association. You're making a difference.

$1035!! I made my goal and then some! Thank you! I couldn't have done it without people like you folks.

It's going to be a chilly walk this morning. Freezing rain is on its way.
