Three polls have been posted (male name, female name, gender-neutral name). The voting period ends Monday night at 11:59 PM EDT.
One of this year's eyases will be given either an appropriate gender-specific name or a gender-neutral name, whichever receives the most votes. In case of a tie, the number of times each of the 2 names was submitted will be used as a tie breaker. If that is a tie too, a coin will be flipped.

Descriptions:
Beamer represents the Falcon being able to see the light from far away and in storms.
Bubbles because watching the babies hatch is such a joy, like bubbles are to kids.
Camryn is sweet, kind, misty!
Cirrus is one of the types of clouds, it is wispy, feathery, and composed entirely of ice crystals. They often are the first sign of an approaching warm front or upper-level jet streak.
Denali is the highest peak in North America at 20,310 ft. Since peregrine falcons are known for their ability to fly high and true, Denali seems a fitting name.
Doppler is for Doppler Radar that is used to forecast weather in Rochester.
Excelsior is the motto of New York State meaning higher.
Progress is for the progress made worldwide so far in bringing peregrine falcons back from near extinction, and for the "Wings of Progress" sculpture atop the Times Square Building, where all of our downtown Rochester falcons have been born since 2010.
Sachem is a Native American word meaning supreme ruler of a specific territory.

Amelia for Amelia Earhart who was a famous pilot.
Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo, God of the Sun.
Bessie is for Bessie Coleman, the first black female aviatrix.
Flora is for the flower city.
Freyja is a Norse Goddess meaning 'lady' associated with beauty & fertility who possessed a cloak of falcon feathers.
Frightful is for the endangered peregrine falcon Frightful in the book Frightful's Mountain. She is endangered because of DDT.
Juno is queen of the Roman gods, married to Jupiter.
Lilac is for Rochester's signature flower. Rochester's most beautiful flower is paired with Rochester's most beautiful birds. Beautiful Lilacs are such a part of Rochester.
Nozomi means Hope in Japanese.
Rhiannon is probably derived from the old Celtic name Rigantona meaning "great queen". It is speculated that this was the name of an otherwise unattested Celtic goddess of fertility and the moon.

Apollo was one of the most important Gods, recognized as a god of music, truth and prophecy, healing, the sun and light, plague, poetry, and more.
Armstrong was a famous astronaut.
Frederick is in honor of Frederick Douglass.
Gawain means "white hawk." Gawain is King Arthur's nephew and a Knight of the Round Table.
Hermes has wings on his sandals in the story Percy Jackson, and so do the peregrine falcons.
Horus is the falcon-headed god of Egyptian mythology and patron deity of the sky.
Lindbergh is for pilot, Charles Lindbergh, who flew great distances with courage and stamina.
Montu is an Egyptian War God of sun & valor that was depicted as a falcon headed man with the falcon representing the sky.
Nimbus is like a storm cloud.
Taurus because the babies were born under the astrological sun sign of Taurus, meaning they will be patient, reliable, and at times stubborn falcons. The Sun transits the constellation of Taurus from May 14 to June 19. It means 'The Bull' in Latin.
Valor is a sign of bravery and honor. Peregrine's represent valor in that they are bravely overcoming endangerment and we should honor their species.
