Ustream recorded videos of the fireworks.

Bird flies by at 22:01:31. Looks like a pigeon.

The vote would be to determine if people want to give him a permanent name or leave it at 99. Veteran could return in 2 months, and we may never see 99 again. We'd be wasting the name Seth if that happened.

The community voted and made Seth its number 2 choice for naming Veteran. The community should probably have a say on how that name is reused.

Are we ever going to give 99 a name?  It was said quite a while ago it would be Seth according to the voting we did for Veteran. Shaky?

I never said it would be Seth. I said it could be Seth if we ever need a more permanent name.

Maybe we could vote on it after the holidays when there is not much else to do?

So now we know....Shaky does his shopping by dumpster diving.

It's the lack of thought that counts.

Then today, when I walked into my office, there was a large picture of the Kodak Tower lit up a night.  Top, center, lit up in all its' glory?  The M&K nest box!  Pre-pan cam days.  No one is fessing up to giving it to me.  Love it!   heart

I found the photo in a dumpster on the south side of the building during my afternoon walk. On the way back to my office, I swung by your office and put it on the chair. I thought you might like it.

Fortunately it fixes itself at dawn.

It does! Strange  stupid

There is a problem initializing the digital still camera in low-light conditions. Normally, this is not an issue because the camera only needs to be initialized at computer start up. As long as its computer stays running, the camera will work just fine. But every once in awhile, the computer loses network connectivity. Most of the time, this resolves itself. When it doesn't, the software attempts, through various methods, to reinitialize the network interface card. If all attempts fail, the computer reboots itself and resets all the electronics in the network and cameras systems, causing the camera to reinitialize. This takes about 2-3 minutes. During the day, you'd barely notice the camera being stuck for that short a time, but at night, the camera fails to reinitialize. It hangs until there is enough light.

This happens frequently at night. I have no way to fix it.
