There is a problem initializing the digital still camera in low-light conditions. Normally, this is not an issue because the camera only needs to be initialized at computer start up. As long as its computer stays running, the camera will work just fine. But every once in awhile, the computer loses network connectivity. Most of the time, this resolves itself. When it doesn't, the software attempts, through various methods, to reinitialize the network interface card. If all attempts fail, the computer reboots itself and resets all the electronics in the network and cameras systems, causing the camera to reinitialize. This takes about 2-3 minutes. During the day, you'd barely notice the camera being stuck for that short a time, but at night, the camera fails to reinitialize. It hangs until there is enough light.
