The falcon with band 67/AR will be given the name that receives the most votes. In case of a tie, the number of times each name was submitted will be used as a tie breaker. If that is a tie too, one of the names will be chosen at random.
Descriptions:
Celeste means "Of the Sky" or "Heavenly," which seems very falcon-appropriate.
Luzerne is the name of a county in Pennsylvania. Since 67 /AR was hatched in a cliff scrape in Luzerne, it would be appropriate to name her for her birth place, paying respect to her heritage.
Shaelin is a modern English compound name composed of Shae "hawk-like" and Lynn "lake." It is Celtic in origin.
Takenya is a Native American female name meaning "fierce falcon" or "falcon swooping and striking its prey with its wings." It's from the Miwok tribe of the Pacific Northwest.

Besides the Corn Hill Festival there must be a big something going on there! Hotels are mostly sold out the weekend of 7/11-13!
Is it just the downtown hotels, or are the suburban ones mostly sold out too? I found rooms at the Rochester Plaza & Hyatt. Only the Radisson was sold out. Kayak found rooms at the suburban ones too. Jehovah's Witness conventions again. JW convention on weekend of July 18-20. |
