A reminder that Rfalconcam will turn off the cameras at the nest boxes located on the Times Square and Powers buildings tonight for one hour starting at 8:30 PM EDT unless there is a possibility of Beauty laying an egg. If that is the case, only the cameras at Powers will be turned off.

In a welcome relief for birds, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has delayed implementing the latest attack on the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

Just days before this devastating new rule was to go into effect, the Biden administration announced it was reassessing the law's rollback and its protections for birds.

FWS is now accepting additional public comments on this rule to inform its next steps.

Please send a public comment supporting restoring protections for birds under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. The deadline to comment is Monday, March 1.
