Marquee works on all current browsers. Shadow and glow only work on old versions of Internet Explorer.

Space Station Reboost: The Inside Story

As the International Space Station is boosted into a higher orbit, Expedition 29 Commander Mike Fossum and Flight Engineers Satoshi Furukawa and Sergei Volkov float freely to demonstrate the acceleration of the orbiting complex.

Apparently it's "Bring Your White Car to Work" Day

It's funny how she has visited so many locations but has never been back to Rochester.

Speaking of Rochester, I was checking out the satellite view in Google maps. It was recently updated to reflect the state of Rochester's landscape circa 2010. However, the street view is still out of date. I zoomed in on the satellite view of High Falls and suddenly found myself on Platt Street looking across an empty Kodak visitors lot at 3 smoke stacks.

Updated Weekly Map

Quest's Week - Google Maps

For those of you using Firefox 8 on Windows, you may have trouble seeing some of the markers on the weekly Quest map. Older versions of Firefox and Firefox 8 on the Mac work just fine.

Ei's landmark map has the same problem with its nest box marker.

This is what happens when people start rushing out a new version every week without proper testing.

Having been home for nearly 3 weeks, I am finally going to have some time (yaaaaaay!) this coming Sunday afternoon if anyone wants to play/meet up.

I'll text the cell phone we secretly installed in the next box last week. Hopefully Beauty will see it and make an effort to stop by Sunday.

Should I uplink via satellite an invitation to Quest too?

I think they tried to replace a tattered flag on Powers Building a week ago. It hasn't been flying ever since.

MAK that is GREAT news!  Just think of all the knowledge you learn with this first one you will already know for the second one!  I wonder once we get all our "moving" parts replaced does that mean our age goes backwards and we begin to get younger?  New lease on life sort of thing??  laugh  Hopefully the weather keeps nice so you can continue to go outside for your walks!

wave Annie, I don't know about getting younger but I'm definitely counting on a new lease on life! And neither bad weather or anything else is gonna hold me back!  Wink

Hey MAK, if you get a bike, they have motors for the front wheel...get you DT faster!

wave  Yes I know D. There's a guy that rides one around downtown all the time! My therapist says I have to bend my knees to at least 110 degrees to ride a bike. My new knee is at just about 90 right now and that's more than my other old rickety knee can do. I got my work cut out for me but I'm determined to get there! I have to!!!!  yes Grin
