Further investigation this morning...it's only on the pages with the graphics on the left (cams, donations, history) that the buttons vanish...the ones with the active main section all the way to the left (forum, imprints...) have all the buttons
I did a little reading last night and found out that this is a known problem with IE6 and older versions. As long as you know how to work around it, I'm not going to try to figure out how to fix it. Hopefully you'll get a new computer at work someday.

Shaky, I've been roughly using this method to navigate the forum, but it doesn't work quite this way for me. Clicking the "new" tab opens the thread in the same browser tab, so I have to scan the contents then click "back" to get back to my list of unread posts, then "refresh" the list by clicking the link to see only unread posts.
I like your method better, though, so I think I'll make a practice of right-clicking the "New" button and explicitly opening the contents in a new tab.
Control-clicking (clicking while holding down the Control/Crtl key on your keyboard) on the "new" icon should open the link in a new tab. This works on both IE and Firefox in Windows. On a Mac, you need to hold down the Command/Splat/Apple key instead of the Control key. For you uber-geeks, if you have a 3-button mouse or a mouse with a scroll wheel that you can also press like a button, you can program the middle button to send a control-click (or command-click on Macs) when you press it. I always middle-click to open links in new tabs.

Just an fyi (and I don't even know if the pic will work-stupid work 'puter) on the Main Cam page here at work the buttons aren't showing up...IE 6.0, Win 2K, no flash player, limited java upgrades due to other program needs...etc., etc....
Anyway...I forgot to say the buttons do "show up" when I mouse over them...and the buttons are there on the forum page... That's odd because the buttons are the same for all pages. If it works on the forum, it should work on the main cam page, imprints, history, etc. Have you tried rebooting?

Home page...how much more home do we need than the Main Cam? What if there were more than one Main cam? What does the main camera picture say about Rfalconcam to first time visitors? Does it give them a good idea of what Rfalconcam is all about? Does it tell them what is going on?

I would like to remind everyone that topics on the Rfalconcam Now board are being tweeted for the benefit of watchers in the field. Imagine the confusion a tweet with the topic "Two Visitors in the Powers Building Nest Box at 10:56 am" could cause. Please keep topics short and descriptive. In this case substituting "pigeons" for "visitors" would have avoided any confusion.
