    I was downtown with a friend of mine this morning and she was nice enough to take me over to the center on Elmwood Ave. where I saw 2 falcons on the back of the building at 11:00.One was on the right end of the ventilation system with it's back to us and the other was on a window ledge on the far right. I was very excited cuz I have no vehicle and don't get out and about a whole lot.

    Loved it! Nature never ceases to amaze me.   

    Ain't love grand!   

 

         

     In this mornings Democrat and Chronicle(Rochesters local newspaper) on the last page of the sports section is an article about Wild Wings in Mendon.

    Here in Rochester , it's -4 degrees this morning with a wind chill of -16.

     If you look at the belly you'll see a very light red coloring. I have often wondered why it's called the red bellied woodpecker instead of red headed.
