Thanks Lynn! I've had a few people e-mail me to see why I haven't been on watch. Figured I'd add that in my tweet so everyone knows what's going on. There's not much that keeps me from checking on our beloved falcons. I'm sure they're just fine, all hunkered down from this nasty patch of weather we have right now. 

 

                                             

Now they need to find out who's doing it!

Harriet and M15 are becoming more and more in sync as they continue their well timed turns at incubating. In a few short weeks their team work will hopefully reward them with two beautiful eaglets hatching into the world. Harriet and M15 have labored tirelessly to ensure this will happen. Harriet takes the overnight shift but has been seen coaxing M15 to get up and off the eggs. She uses the gentlest nudges and soft vocals in her communication to him.

Glad Harriet has a mate-he has big talons to fill!

Joyce brought it to my attention that I have 2015 on all my reports for this year so I went to wordpress and changed them but I can't do anything about them on the forum. Maybe a moderator can do it. Thanks Joyce!

SWFL (Video: Lady Hawk): "M15 is incubating the eggs when Harriet arrives for the evening. Seems our new Dad doesn't want to get up off the eggs. Soft sweet chittering from both of them, a beak kiss and finally M15 gets up and lets Mom incubate for the night!!"

Zero, the Seneca Park Zoo's male polar bear, dies   

The zoo announced his death Monday in a news release. He was 26 and the cause of death was initially thought to have been cancer, although the results of pathology tests will not be available for six weeks, according to the zoo.

I'm sorry but that guy in the video was annoying.

I agree Donna-the left foot on that hawk had no talons. 

WINORR's response on FB to person's question are the talons missing-

WINORR- Wildlife In Need of Rescue and Rehabilitation Yes all the talons are there on both feet. Maybe it appears they arent but it is knuckling on the bad foot until it improves.
