The clickable link doesn't work but copying and pasting MAK's original link does. MAK, the pictures are great, and the series of pics of Yankee are particularly striking. Great job, as always!
Thanks Pat! I'd say the pics of Yankee and Dixie came out the best probably because we could get closer to them.

Joyce picked me up after my morning falcon watch and we went to Medley Centre first to see Big Frank. Next stop was Irondequoit Bay where we saw lots of cormorants and an Osprey. Onward to Buffalo where we saw Gleig and Diamante at Central Terminal, Dixie and Yankee at MacKay Tower on the University of Buffalo campus. I saw a total of 10 Peregrine Falcons today including what I saw on my morning watch. We found the smallest of falcons-an American Kestrel at the Holcim grain elevators in Buffalo. Joyce talked me into going 28 floors up onto the observation deck of Buffalo's City Hall-great view but a bit too high for me. And lastly we stopped at the Iroquois Wildlife Refuge on the way home and saw lots of Canada Geese, Great Blue Herons, a Grebe and some deer. We also saw a few Red-tail Hawks and many Monarch Butterflies on our travels. http://youtu.be/Oqy9fZqd_OwSWFL (Video: wskrsnwings): "FV made a second attempt at mating this am. If he was deterred by her size previously, he did a great job overcoming that this morning. Remember that mating is a form of bonding when performed out of the fertile time. FV misjudged the position, but he is young, as O&H were once too. Great start for a young FV! "Bald eagles mate by touching or pressing cloaca together - the famous 'cloacal kiss'. The female perches and tilts forward, allowing the male to land with his feet lodged on her back. She twists and moves her tail feathers to one side so the mounted male can press and twist his cloacal opening around her cloaca, passing sperm from his cloaca to hers. Intense and rapid vocalizations will precede and accompany their mating." (Credit: Raptor Resource Project Blog) No sighting of Ozzie this AM. Be safe and we wait to see you return strong, Ozzie."
