From the blog today:
We are delighted to announce that at 5.38am this morning the resident male returned to the nest at Loch of the Lowes. Having been observed fishing on the loch the previous night, he arrived back at the eyrie in the early hours and immediately began housekeeping duties. He left at 6.18am and has since reappeared briefly at the nest at 7.28am.
We will be releasing a full statement and pictures later on today – in the meantime keep your eyes peeled on the web cam for more osprey action!
Hoping Lady will arrive soon . . .
YAY!

And then there were 3! I am still under shock and have yet to calculate the gap exactly but it's about 5.5 days, Charlie laid a 3rd egg at 5:44 this morning. She'd been tight as a tight thing since, denying Tom brooding time, so I have only just had the visual proof of it...
That's a long time in between eggs!!
 I'll say it is!

I wrote to Jamie and asked if he knew about the falcons DT! Apparently not as he wrote back and said:
Very cool Donna! Thanks for sending. It's a great story. I would DIE to get photos of these magnificent creatures!
So, let's see what happens.
Awesome-good going D!

The second camera monitoring the pair of peregrine falcons occupying the nesting box on the 23rd floor of the state Tower Building in downtown Syracuse was put in place today. Christopher Aloi, an engineering manager for Wholesale Carrier Services, the company that donated the camera, made the announcement today on the Syracuse Peregrine Falcons Facebook page. Those wishing to watch the peregrines now have two viewpoints -- a view looking directly into the box, and a view from above it. See falconcam.wcs.com. Susan Lowe Wrisley, a spokeswoman for the Syracuse Peregrine Falcons, told me today the name given to the female bird (Pigott) did not come from her group as I originally reported. It came from the Hamilton Peregrine Falcons watching group in Hamilton, Ontario. And as for the new male bird, the Syracuse group took the initiative recently to give it a name. "It's George," Wrisley said. http://falconcam.wcs.com/ both cams
