I looked at the Charlotte pier and the Summerville pier when I got home from work today and saw some of the same type of waves. The first thing I thought of was that this storm is a nor'easter, the only type of storm that will create whitecaps like that on this portion of the lake's southern shore. Nice that I can now think of a cute little falcon while we're getting pounded with wind, rain or snow from the northeast!

I've seen the waves on the eastern end of Lake Ontario bigger than these at times throughout my childhood when my parents owned a summer place on the shore near Pulaski,NY. We had a lot of fun diving into them and trying to jump over them! Good times they were!!
