What a thrill this had to be to see this super-pod of Dolphins! In 2007, Bill and I did a Whale Watch out of Gloucester, MA where they took us 18 miles out to sea. What a great day it was when we got to see 8 Minke Whales and 4 Humpbacks swimming and coming up alongside our boat but on the way back to port, we got a special surprise. The Captain announced that a large pod of Striped Dolphins were following us and soon after, we had an estimated 150 Dolphins racing and leaping out of the water on both sides of the boat! What a spectacular way to end our watch!
How awesome for you and Bill! I would love to see that!!! I have a video on Bill's computer-will send it to you! It was awesome! Cool, thanks Kris!

Yes Lola we get lots of snow here in western New York. This time it was lake effect snow which is when cold air moves over the lake and sucks moisture from it to form snow bands that move according to the wind. It can be sunny everywhere else but where these lake snow bands are set up. And they can drop a ton of snow in a short amount of time when they just sit in one spot. We're due for some more tomorrow night as a cold front approaches from the north. And this concludes todays Rochester weather lesson! lol
