Day 21 in Paradise and only one week left before I have to depart this absolutely gorgeous part of our great country! The time has gone quickly but I do have more nature to take in this week. Bo,Roscoe and Deziree rode around the ranch with me as we watched Turkey Vultures and a Red Tail Hawk soar in the sky above the bull pasture. My sis saddled up Ginger and took a ride around the back forty across the holler from the house. Todays video continues from yesterday down the hill to the bulls enclosure and down the ranch road past the bull barn and toward the woodpecker woods. Once again I have sweet sunshine and low 50's for the high temps here in Pearidge Arkansas!

Glo, that was awesome! I watched it last year on PBS. It was amazing and also sad.   

 

               

 

    

On day 20 in Paradise I haven't taken my usual ranch ride yet but I did spend the better part of the morning watching my feathered friends at the feeders in the backyard. Blue Jays are numerous around here and I awake every morning to their calls. Better than an alarm clock! lol  On my way to McDonalds today I saw a hawk in the top of a tree off in the distance and a bunch of Bluebirds lined up on a telephone wire in the sun showing me their beautiful blue color.  Todays video takes us down the road to the left from the end of the driveway. We pass some heifers on the way to the hill that takes us down to my favorite part of the ranch road-where the bulls are!  lol

Although in this pic, you can clearly see a falcon on the top rail next to the pole. If you look real close to the left on the top platform, you can see a small dark blip.....may be Beauty eating. Is DC back?

That dark blip does look like Beauty's head. Hmmm.

And if that was DC on the right, he would be in Beauty's face trying to snag her meal. This one is awfully white! Very confusing with these falcons!

I think it could be the mystery male that is hanging out with Pigott over in Brighton. Just my opinion...

I'm thinking maybe the male with the bright white chest seen with Pigott today may have been the one on the FCT with Beauty yesterday. Hmmm... a winter visitor acting like DC by romancing 2 females!
