Great pictures, MAK!

Picture 9 of 25 - all I can think of is, "You put your right foot in...."

While it would be nice to have eyases at both nest sites, I hope he doesn't have to hokey pokey at both of them...

Thank you ez and I hope he doesn't either but I think he'll handle it ok if he does. He's a strong determined young tiercel!  Grin

He better show up soon and with food or I'll come down there and pinch his feathers myself.  Maybe he's a big fraidy cat cause she yelled at him yesterday...his dad is like that too..all kacking but no action  hyper

LOL Carly. He is real late today. Maybe Pigott has eggs too and he's just so confused!  silly

Wish someone could check BS to see if he's there and OK.  Weird he's not been around at all yet.

Joyce is coming to get me to go check the gorge nest site in Niagara Falls. I'll ask if we can check BS first

I was chatting with Big Frank about this and it looks like it could be a respiratory illness called Frounce, where they can't swallow and eventually succumb to it without treatment. If that's what it is then the eyases are susceptible for it is contagious. Too darn sad!  Sad

I was thinking the same thing.  This is sad.  If I remember right, I think it was New Jersey a few years back where they had big problems with it and started giving medicated quail to the chicks early.

BF said he didn't think there is a preventative but they could medicate when and if they come down with it.  Sad
