From Peregrine Place an hour ago:
Central Terminal happy news! Carl reports Gleig has a new mate! They are doing aerial dances around and over the tower! Carl says she looks like Gleig but he had no binocs. For those locals who may want to visit them, please be aware even with the higher temps the parking lot is extremely icy, rutted and some deep holes. Take care!
I am very glad that Gleig is doing well, but the news I would most like to see would be another good update on Diamanté. The last update was on December 14.
Bittersweet news. An update on Diamante would certainly be welcome.

New unbanded female at nest bowing to Yankee this morning, I posted some photos to Peregrine Place just now. Her legs bare and I got enough of his band to positively ID him. Both still there now, she's peeking around the corner.
Edit to add: I wonder if they are sure the female they picked up was Dixie? This female looks like Dixie - they both have a heart shape on the side... I'd need more photos to be sure but she's awfully 'at home' here for a newbie and she was scraping too.
Hmm, interesting!

Yes that is OC and Lucky, they've been hanging together on the ledge alot the past few days and they've been actively defending their territory against some red tails that have dared to hunt in it. In fact again today I saw them both attacking one of them and driving her down into a back yard in the residential area. Then there is Mr and Mrs Crow and their brood right across the street - they've had some skirmishes since the Crows moved in last Spring. I actually saw OC and Mrs Crow with talons locked spinning around in the air one day! And a few weeks ago, they took the kids and raided one of Lucky's food stashes when he and OC were out of territory, likely down by the lake enjoying the nice weather we had back then. One time I saw them actually team up and drive out a bunch of TV's...it's been interesting and sometimes terrifying to watch the interactions between them all. Mrs Crow is massive, I mean massive..she's the same size as OC and she's not one bit afraid of her....I think she enjoys getting OC riled up Never a dull moment in our neighbourhood Yikes!!!

I looked on the FB page of the man who reported the sighting. He has a better pic posted where bands look more like 22/BE..comments say it's a female that was banded in Haverhill, MA.
I also found one more photo of the bird . . . don't know if it is the same one you found, Kris. The bands are not very clear in this one either. Could be BE. https://www.facebook.com/moose.lewis.16It absolutely looks like BE to me. So not Leo-bummer!
