2 at nest now. Harlie and Quest no doubt.

Maybe Quest and Kendal bowing? Wish we could zoom in!

Kris you took the words right out of my mouth again!  handshake  Well I guess great minds think alike huh?   yes

 2thumbsup

I don't know, right before the 2 were in the nest, I saw Harlie running back and forth on the ledge to the right of the nest. I know Kendal wouldn't do that, that's Juvie behavior. Then again, what do I know!

Harlie and Quest were probably jabbering at Kendal to bring some food!  Grin

In terms of advertising budgets, 30K isn't that much.  Everyone involved really was damned if they did and damned if they didn't.  The non-intervention people would have been furious if help had been given to Happy Feet up front and now the intervention people aren't happy because intervention wasn't given instantly and now the 30K cost!  In terms of awareness and free good-faith attention, Happy Feet's plight has been priceless - people ask me about Happy Feet.

Isn't awareness what the ultimate goal is?

??? confused suspicious  Or is it??

It is Janet but there's always that bottom line! Money makes the world go 'round!!!  2cents

Not to mention that if they had rescued this poor baby before he ate all that sand and those twigs, it wouldn't have cost this much

Depends on the size of it! Use protective clothing and do this after dark, as they are dormant. Get a jar bigger than the nest and gently place the opening over the nest. The nest and wasps should all be in the jar at this point. Use a scraper to unhook the nest and cover. Then do what you want with the nest! The woods is a good release point. Found this video.
