Hmmm - in American money? Anyone want to multiply that by 1.41??? Oh, right - I will do it - it comes to nearly 120,000 USD. (Right?) Pocket money.
Oh definitely Bobbie, I have at least that much in my pocket! Thanks for calculating that!

Saw a Hummer this am at my dads house. Buzzed right in front of me, I was frozen with delight. Went to get my phone to take pics but it never came back. My dad feeds the birds every day...peanuts. I slept over last night to watch his dogs and I woke up to 5 Squirrels, 9 Blue Jays, 4 HUGE crows and many other birds on his deck, waiting for a handout. I handed them out alright. 10 handfuls of peanuts and boy did it get crazy out there. I took a video and will upload to youtube when I get back home from dads. I could live there if his house wasn't so scary. Very creepy at night. They live more in the woods and have no curtains on the windows.....or shades. I feel like I'm being watched so I throw towels on the windows at night for my own piece of mind. Waking up with many eyes on me was freaky but FUN!!!
 Cool, can't wait!

Hi MAK This has definitely been a crazy bird year! Twice a hawk has snapped up a baby bluejay in my front yard!! Oh the cries of the adults were just heart wrenching. I know the hawks have to feed their young too, but could they please shop in someone else's yard! Glad to hear the downtown Rochester crows are thriving Maybe some will migrate here during winter. Don and I are heading off to Cape Cod tomorrow...maybe we'll see a Peregrine! Suzanne Have a GREAT trip guys! Cape Cod is the bomb!!! Get those clam diggers out and have some fun! PS Sorry 'bout the baby Blue Jays!

Imagine this!
A 200-year-old bottle of French wine has become the most valuable white wine in the world, after it was sold for almost €85,000.
The 1811 Chateau d'Yquem has been bought by a restaurant owner in Bali.
Antique wine collector Stephen Williams, who sold the bottle, has said it is probably still drinkable.
I love the "probably" - haha on the buyer if it is simply ancient vinegar. I have some of that myself... Sure will make one expensive tossed salad...
How much is that in American money?

Long time no see Suzanne! I'm very sorry about your little crow family. The whole bird world has taken it's share of hits this year! I can report that the crows are coming back in earnest to Washington Square park to roost at night and lining the rail on top of the Frontier building when I arrive before dawn.

Looks like Sunshine. I can't help but wonder if they somehow know we're sad and need to see them. I logically know they can't really know we can see them, but still...haven't seen a juvie on the ledge in weeks and here they are... It's called divine intervention Ei! And boy, do we ever need more of that this year! Could not believe it when I read that wee Kate was gone too. Poor things! So much hope shattered. You got that right Bobbie!
