Thanks so much everyone for the warm welcome! And that video by MAK is wonderful! Just so nobody freaks like I did when I turned the cam on this a.m., Harlequin is still there! I worried all the way in to work, but am happy to say she's flattened out like a pancake, snoozing, just outside the frame on the right! Hopefully someone adjusts the camera soon. I don't see Quest or Kendal yet this a.m., but they're likely off grabbing some snacks for Harlequin (whom I've affectionately been calling "Chubbalub"). Kat and welcome to the forum! I love the nickname "Chubbalub"!

Unless I missed it, not once did Archer or Beauty come to the nest today! I have nothing to do! I have checked a few times, and thought it odd that you hadn't posted any pictures of either of them. But when ever I checked the camera there was no sign of anyone. They are waiting for MAK to come downtown. :-) I've been so busy watching Harlie.... I've looked for her several times today on here but nothing. Archer's too busy echupping at KP. First...@ Donna...you have PLENTY to do, oh Queen of keeping us up to date on all the critter news fit to print! Maybe not your PREFERRED thing to do, but worthwhile and GREATLY appreciated none the less! And I'm sure they were nearby, they just decided to hang out elsewhere today. They don't want to interfere with our Harlie time on all counts Ei and what you do is greatly appreciated too!

I will be happy to take pics of the surroundings for all to see on Tuesday. The ledge the nest tray is on isn't real high by falcon standards and I would say the building it's on is the shortest of any of the others near it. I'm not sure how many stories up it is.The other buildings have plenty of ledges for Harlie to land on. In my opinion she should do just fine and you know Quest will see to it! It is not in a city block and there didn't seem to be a lot of traffic. You could say it's like a suburban office park. I remember Tracy from CPF did say the first time we were there that a wooded area near a highway off in the distance could present a problem if she were to go over there, but it wasn't real close and again I am sure Kendal and Quest will steer her the right way.

Was on the phone with my friend - looked out back window and saw a PeFa in my backyard - helmet confirmed - mustach confirmed - feathers flying!
Adult, small - my backyard is safe, but I am assuming HUNGRY because of the on-the-ground dining. Flew off with prey (a huge pile of feathers remain). Rich confirmed sighting. Fear it was one of my red-bellies. Eagles and Peregrines in my backyard - way too cool!
Couldn't get a picture because I assume the bird heard me shriek!
I heard ya SHRIEK!! Congrats Janet & Rich. I'm next!!! [/quote Next for what...dining on the ground cuz you're hungry?
