Some people are just plain out of control! 

And still The Lady sits faithfully on what seem to be unviable eggs. Her mate continues to feed her. And each day, as I check the webcam, I wonder if she will still be there and I think: "This really IS good-bye."

   You got that right BC! I missed the Beautyful one and I thank you all for your well wishes and concern about Joycie and I. We do love a good adventure with the emphasis on the word GOOD. 

Joyce, Mark was probably happy he didn't have to rescue you guys from pipes or air conditioning  And didn't he once have to rescued on that boat?

I think so. Can you imagine trying to explain to Customs why we were getting a boat ride home?

Can you say handcuffs? 

I keep thinking of Mary Ann-- who Dan S. rescued.  He said she was so big, he didn't know how she would get off the ground.   

MAK, you have a picture of a baby fox-- where was it????  OK, so I am worried about when Harlie fledges-- assuming she/he can lift off the nestbox, that sweet baby!

    Jeanne the fox was right in the Harlequin parking lot! 

OK..it's official...Quest is trying to get Harlie's crop to 'splode!   

That is one gigantic crop!   Quest, don't you know about childhood obesity?   

 

In my report I forgot the biggest thank you of all to my dear friend Joyce! Without whom I never would have had the opportunity to do a lot of things in the past year of my life.    I owe you much!

   That's exactly what I was thinking Bobbie. I would have stopped immediately and looked for the poor thing! On the up side, at least it survived and returned to it's territory!

I've noticed Beauty picking alot of white down feathers out lately. When she stands straight up with wings not tight to her body she looks leggy and slender. I believe this is cooler for her by letting air in.on her body where as she scrunches down to keep warm. Just my opinion.
