I loved catching frogs as a child! Didn't care for toads tho cuz they pee in your hand when you pick them up! My mom always had little tiny baby toads in her yard and when I mowed it they would hop along the tops of the grass to get away from the mower. Funny but instead of going to the side already cut they'd ALWAYS go to the uncut side so I'd have to wait for them to get out of the way before I could proceed.  Grin

humming bird   Donna that's exactly what they sound like when they buzz around near you. Sue had one come right up to her one day in the backyard cuz she was wearing a red shirt. They are such fun to watch especially when they divebomb each other. Very cool video Kris, Thanks! hummer  @ Ei... Now ya see 'em now ya don't!  Grin

I found this comment on the watchers blog from my 2-4-11 watch.

Another siting today! On two separate occasions today I saw a passage peregrine, tiercel I think, around the Monroe Avenue exit of 590. The first time, he was sitting on a lamp post overlooking the highway, and I distinctly saw an antenna wire sticking off of his back. The second time, he was flying low and slow, and came to a perch on another lamp post.

Not sure, but one of Rochester’s birds may be back early for the spring!

scared blue   Could it be Quest come home for a visit? It's getting crazy busy around here with all these falcons! foxbinocs

I like how you can hear a cardinal and other songbirds in the first part of the video until they probably realized they were hearing a hawk close by. Quite an entertaining video Ei thanks. clap
