I absolutely love how these blogs are written, so tender and informative! How could we not hope for the best for this osprey family as well as the other animal families we so cherish Thanks so much, Donna, for finding these wonderful links!!!! I agree Jeanne. I love the way they word their posts on this website. I especially like "it is often the simple things that are so profound". That's so true. Like this morning with Dan, we saw no falcons over at the Frontier parking lot, but we had sparrows at our feet eating weed seeds. We both agreed that was enough to keep us smiling. Seems we're always seeking bigger and better when the little things that go unnoticed sustain us. As always thank you Donna!

Thanks Sage. I find it interesting that the intruder stayed when their were 2 in the scrape with it. Must have been held down really good. I would have thought the female would get in on the battle. I guess it's more important to protect the eggs than to help her mate. Too bad Archer joined forces with Beauty against Mariah that Easter morning. Just a comparison. Perhaps there were no eggs on Midtown yet.

I don't know if ustream crashed my computer today or not but when I was watching Dumpsterkittys video of Callidora and Archer it stopped working. Just thought I'd put it out there in case that is the problem.

its only a sport if they give swords and spears to the bull too.
AND the bull wins sometimes! Must be my warped sense of humor, but I always cheer for the bulls during the annual running of the bulls, as I figure that anyone crazy enough to get in front of that much angry moving mass, deserves to get a good poke in the backside! I'm with you p I mean Janet! When animals are involved it's not a sport period.

Rochester Falcons / Falcon Watches / Re: Twitter

Good morning Rochester falcon watchers both near and far. Dan and I were supposed to meet at the pedestrian bridge at high falls but when I got there he wasn't there yet. I decided to drive around and check out the city. First stop Frontier parking lot where I found Callidora on the NW corner of HSBC. Beauty was on Xerox south side. A couple minutes later Beauty took off heading NW and Callidora immediately started kakking and followed mom. I then left and went to Broad St. bridge where I found Archer on Mercury. So all 3 were accounted for this morning. I proceeded back to pedestrian bridge where I found Dan. We sat for about half hour with no sightings when suddenly we spotted a falcon right over top of us. It was a female and she went to a brick smoke stack north of the bridge and landed. Very quickly stooped on something and flew north. We lost her and turned to the south side of the bridge to see a falcon on the cement part of the elevator shaft on OCSR. Judging by size we believe it was either Beauty or Callidora eating breakfast. Our morning watch ended and we were very excited by all that we had witnessed. Have a great day everybody!
