As the sun was setting behind Mercury and turning the clouds a lovely shade of magenta the sound of a hungry juvie came down upon us. Watchers Dan,Jeanne and I were just about to leave the Broad St. bridge tonight when we first heard Callidora . We looked to our right to see Callidora chasing Beauty across the river right before our eyes. As Dan would put it Beauty had a package in her talons. It looked like a food exchange had been made but we couldn't be sure because it was so dark out at this point. They went over to Mercurys' base and the feathers were flying. I mean lots and lots of feathers! We couldn't decide who was who but it didn't matter to us because we had seen them up close and personal. Whomever was cleaning and eating was still there when we left and the other took off towards Xerox. Truly, good things come to those who wait! Good nite!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Donna for without her my reports would not have been posted for all to see. Talk about dedication!!! I know she would be right out there with us day and night. I'd also like to thank her for all the informational stuff she finds and posts every single day! Kudos to you my friend! I could not imagine finding a better team of watchers than what we have here in Rochester. Fun,decent folks with a wealth of experience and knowledge and always willing to answer questions from me. I've been very fortunate to see all that I've seen in my first year of watching. What else can I say...keep your eyes to the sky everybody!
