The very top of the egg is visible if you view the Main cam pic at 100%.  Look just to the left of the knot on the center top of the front edge of the nest box tray.

just to mention how good this camera is, you can also check out the green fly flying past above the roof of the nest box little to the left

well being a good father is in his genes. He got it from his Grandpa. Not sure how his Daddy was. Speaking of genes. What percentage of "our" next generation will be white breasted like Dad or beige like Mom any guesses? What are Beauties parents like? If I have seen them I don't know who is who.

that is the camera if you look at the night time pictures shows a round circle of light. I thought it might be infrared or something like that.

Re:  thinning the herd for the good of the herd
I've heard the explanations.  But if it's so good for the animal world, I wonder why this method isn't used for the human herds.

It has been, look at history. Problem is those who choose the ones to be thinned do not usually choose wisely.

Mariah could go up to the Lennox building Quest doesn't seem to want it and maybe we could talk them into a cam 

I think she is trying to psych us out.

 

That just shows how great Mariah and Kaver were as parents that most of our kids made it. At least until they were out on there own.
