Tho I didn't witness the tragic accident I was the first one to see Unity laying dead after being hit by a car. Reading this heartfelt report I can relate to Chris and I am actually sick to my stomach thinking about it. Fly free with Unity little one...

unfortunately I believe Kaver is over the bridge because he would have come back to Mariah if he was able. I hope  that Archer is healing and Seneca really did get relocated and we will hear from her soon (probably in Toronto that seems to be the place to go for our girls)

NO. There was a rumor that she may have been the one "relocated" to Toledo supposedly (was it from the airport?).  Think it was the airport they were killing a bunch of birds for plane safety but a falcon was "relocated so they say" but there was no band information given.  Happened at the same time she disappeared and she hasn't been seen since.

I wonder if she was a casualty of the bird clean up and they covered their mistake by saying "relocated". But then I have a low opinion of some humans. She was my favorite from that year. Daddy's little girl.

I agree Carol! Cats are predators, they can't help it but as a Cat & Bird lover, I do get upset when a cat has a bird in it's mouth or a lion has taken down a baby Bison, or an Eagle catches a rabbit...etc. Wish they were all herbivores!

I wouldn't mind so much if they caught them because they were hungry like Donna's lion or hawk. House cats kill just because they can. That is why my little girl isn't allowed outside. (though she still caught and killed and English sparrow long story)

I wondered actually if she might have learned a lesson from the Unity/Archer situation from last year and how it ended with her being hurt.  I know they don't feel emotion per say, not the way we do,  however I do believe they learn and adapt to threats.  Perhaps she knows she needs to be more vigilant with other falcons outside the territory now, especially one her mate is involved with.   

you are probably right. Specially how this pairing started out or almost didn't start out. I have a feeling that Pigott is his first choice and she is just not mature enough yet. She will probably make a move on down town when she is ready and who DC will side with if either we have no idea. We are not out of the woods yet we are probably in for a bumpy ride next season.

And if Archer decides to return, well..........
