Every evening here we'll get a flock in trees, not always the same tree every night, but they'll find one to gather in.  Sometimes a couple go to one and a couple to another and then they all end up in one or two trees next to each other.  Apparently some crows will migrate, others will have winter feeding grounds.  This video I found looks like the way yours were flying once you get into it.

I was thinking crows too, that's how they fly around here, we've had a lot of them this year.

Bowden says pony committee members opened gates to let the ponies reach higher ground on Friday and put out extra hay. She says when committee members returned Sunday morning the ponies "looked fantastic," as docile and complacent as usual, as if nothing had happened.
I'm glad you mentioned that, I got to thinking about them when I saw where all Irene was going.

That was really sad.  I so feel for his wife dealing with losing Rob and the tornado damage.  I met Rob a few times at bandings and he was so much fun besides having so much experience and knowledge.  He did a lot besides getting the peregrines started again and eagles............

Hi gang,

I don't know how many have followed this cam and just not posted here, but as a quick update, both eggs hatched.  The oldest one was lost, we think he/she may have gotten blown out of the nest as it kept getting way up on the edge and that weekend the winds were terrible.  Sad The younger one is doing great.  clap

There is also an Einstein & Elsie facebook page  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Elsie-and-Einstein/161046800598823

Due to the way Thumper had rigged up an enclosure for the cam, he had to quit using it because it was getting WAY to hot in there for it with the weather warming up down there.  At the moment he temporarily put a cam on his deck, so the viewing is only good early in the morning or in the evening because of sun glare, but at least we can see the nest.  He got some money together towards a new, really good cam, but it's a lot for one person to put out alone.  Some of us regulars got together a cam fund (he didn't ask us to, we just did it for him).  We've just about reached the goal to cover the amount over what he got together, but a little more would sure help for everyone's enjoyment.  I know times are tight, but even $5 by a bunch of people adds up fast.  If anyone is interested, just go to the link Donna posted and there is a paypal button.  Every little bit helps, he's getting us a great cam!  Thanx so much!  2thumbsup

Hi Patti,

Thanks for asking.  I'm in Iowa, visiting Nora!  We spent the afternoon up in Houston MN, having lunch with Karla and being entertained by Alice the G-H Owl!!  What a wonderful time!  I will be home on the 2nd of January and will set up a Kodak Album to show the photos.  Alice graced us both by sitting on our knees!  What a trip!!

Thanks again for asking after me!

I think that's a great idea Dot!  clap Lots of times a person wants to give some smaller gifts to several people and those would be wonderful!  Also considering the number of people like you who are retired, out of work, or like me lately with less work.
