So we're consistently only catching three eyas on camera.  Is CPF sure there was a fourth hatch?

10:12 am Toronto time, can see 3 of the 4 babies.  Can't wait till they are a bit more mobile and we see more of them!  Such cute little fluffballs!

Here is a picture of momma (I think) up and turning the 4 eggs.  The 4th is behind her feet.  This was the only shot I could get of the 4 eggs, she's sticking to them pretty hard.  I think they have been in full time incubation for about a week now, so there's still quite a ways to go.  A (very) rough estimate would have the hatching occurring around Memorial Day.  I hope we don't have unseasonably cold (i.e., snowy) weather that weekend like we did a couple of years ago that resulted in the death of two of the eyases.

Make the browser window wider if you can. The pictures will return to side by side.

Eggsactly how big is your screen Shaky?  Undecided  I tried on my monitor (a measly 19") and then on a 22" monitor on a lab machine, and I couldn't get the pictures to display side by side on either of them.  That's going to be a real bummer when fledge time comes!  Wish there was a way to put a scroll bar down the side of the window for those of us who can't see them side by side.

The last I've seen, there are only two eggs
Update:  there are 4 eggs!!  I don't have a picture yet to show off, but she moved briefly yesterday and I clearly saw four eggs underneath her.  Woohoo!!

The last I've seen, there are only two eggs and hard incubation is underway for the last 2-3 days.  Here is a close-up picture from camera 2, and a long-shot picture from Camera1 that shows where s/he is nesting in relationship to the entire nest box (s/he is in the far left corner of the box).  The scenery visible outside the box in the long shot is the "mall" walk area outside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (formerly the Hotel Utah ages ago) in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

Woohoo! is right!  A new nest tray, and a new egg!  Our girl is on her way to becoming a mama!  I'm sure that just like Rhea-Mae, she will be an excellent one.  Yay CPF and thanks for the great news!

 thumbsup

That's so funny that he is so predictable.  As the crow flies, how many miles is it between the two sites?

What "other site" is Archer visiting?

You must have patience.  Wink The download takes a while.
Both cams are running.

Thanks for the tip!  My patience was rewarded by a sighting of one of the two falcons, I don't know which as I can't tell them apart by sight and there is nothing to reference size by at the moment.  Maybe I can start using their "Orville" as a reference, as it is fairly big!  LOL

Two pictures captured from their webcam of the bird, one in the scrape depression, the other preening on the edge of the nestbox.

Jack's second home is at a Private Residential nest site located in Etobicoke.   {snip}

Mathew, a falcon lover who resides at the building does update his own blog which you can find here:

Thanks so much for this info, it will be interesting to see if Jack can keep two families going this year.  This is fairly uncommon, isn't it, for a male to have two mates?  Whether due to lack of opportunity or due to their generally serially-monogamous (if that is what it could be called...) mating habits?

Per the Utah Division of Wildlife page, the webcams went live yesterday, but all I'm getting is a black box.

Check out:  http://wildlife.utah.gov/peregrine/  for info on the Salt Lack City (SLC) PeFa.

The actual nestcam links are:

Does anyone know where "Jack", the male PeFa at Etobicoke - Sun Life Centre, makes his second home?  There are several mentions in the nest notes of him going off to his other "wife" and nest, etc, but they never mention where it is.  Do they know?  Is that site also monitored?
