So, in case anyone missed the comment update below, the Churchill lead was a dead end. We did find a coopers hawk which is what they must have seen but he was not interested in climbing into the net so we gave him some holes to get out of and will check back in. We are still hopeful churchill will turn up however, if he does not turn up we still made great strides this year having 2 of 3 hatchlings still flying eating and keeping us on our toes!
I had my doubts, it's been too long!!
I am sorry that the bird turned out not to be Churchill. I hope he will turn up safe and well.

Another juvie is in rehab, this time from the Canada Square nest.
Typhoon in rehab
July 22, 2015 - Toronto - Canada Square Building - Yonge and Eglinton
Marion Nash Reports:
I got a call from an old friend today, Joe Mota the past manager of 18 King St, another Peregrine nest site, contacted me to let me know he had a Peregrine Juvenile in a box at 2 St. Clair St west. The bird had fallen down the chimney several floors and was found by building maintenance.
I did not ask any further questions since I knew that Joe knew exactly what to do. I called and dispatched Bruce to go and get the bird who I expected was one of our Canada Square kids.
Sure enough it was Typhoon
Bruce told me that he looked like he had an injury to his eye so he was going top take him to rehab right away.
I will post information on his diagnosis as soon as I know anything.
I am very thankful that Typhoon was found. Having fallen down a chimney is not good, and I wonder how long he was there. Any eye injury is a concern; I hope he will be okay.

We have a solid lead on Churchhills location!!!!! Me and DEC will be investigating a vacant building with permission from its owners at 11:30 and hope to find churchill there, we have been told there is for sure a bird of prey trapped in the building!!! Cross you fingers!
Is this possible since he has been missing since the end of June?? Maybe mom and dad drop off food???? I hope this is true and he is OK...
I am missing something here . . . is Churchill one of the juvies? If so, I do hope you find him and that he is okay. Love the photo of Aurora.

I keep hoping Astrid will settle down; she doesn't want to accept her own son, and yet in Montreal, Spirit and Arthurin were willing to accept a juvie they did not know into their family. I have not seen either juvie at the nest, but one of the parents was there a few minutes ago:

I had just read this on Kate St. John's blog. I have been checking for updates, and had checked the ARL site earlier, before this was posted. I, for one, was not expecting this. What an absolutely heartbreaking loss of this wonderful little juvie. I know Silver had unlimited courage, beauty and spirit and was such a little fighter. He tried his hardest to survive, and Dorothy gave him the greatest devotion and dedication anyone could. He touched so many lives in his far too short life, and he will never be forgotten.
