Ok found it, it was posted on a Facebook page and a lady there - I won't publish her name as she may not appreciate having it publicized since she posted on a private site and it's likely her real name not a posting name - but she contacted the Chesapeake Conservatory to inform them of Barb's injuries. They were not aware of it at the time until she notified them but told her that they would now keep an eye on her.
I sure hope if she's inured and grounded, they can find her.
Thanks, Carly. I would have thought that the Chesapeake people would have been watching their own new webcam. It is almost a week since Barb was first injured. I was hoping that someone based in Baltimore might be able to go out and look for her. What is it with these private sites, anyway??

Oh no, I saw some of the photos on FB and they said they'd keep an eye on Barb. Pardon me for asking, Carly, but who are "they"? I was looking on the website for an appropriate contact to ask them to check whether Barb might be injured and in need for help, but there did not appear to be one.

When I checked the site today, I noticed immediately that there was a new female in the nest. Barb has been displaced. I would think that this female is probably the one with whom Barb battled almost a week ago. I think the same intruder probably returned, and continued the battle. But with her injuries, I am not sure Barb would have been able to fight. I hope she is not injured somewhere and needing help. The new female is banded red/silver on the right leg, and black/green on the right. I have a feeling I should know this bird, but I'm not sure. With the male:

On March 27, I noticed that Barb appeared to have been injured in a territorial battle. She returned to the nest in a dishevelled state and with blood on her front. The blood was not superficial; it was deep in her feathers. Her right eye looked swollen. Since then, she had been spending long periods of time immobile, and when she did move, she moved very slowly as if she was in pain. She did not look good to me. March 27 March 29 On March 30 and March 31, I did see her eating, but she still did not look good.

Didn't I read that 19K was looking around recently at another nest somewhere? Must be he decided to go back home.
Yes, 19/K went to the Woodmen nest in Omaha in February, which belongs to his son Mintaka. On March 7 they battled for the nest, and Mintaka won. 19/K returned to his mate and his nest in Lincoln.

Boy that's a small nest-not much room for wingercising. It is a small nest, and I think it is very unsafe. It is very windy up there, and there is not enough protection for eggs or chicks. You probably remember that the chicks were swept out of the nest in a storm last year. And way back in 2008, all three chicks were also lost from this nest in wet weather. I wish that they would replace this unsuitable nest box with a strong, well built nest box with sides, a roof, and the bottom part of the front closed in. I think it could be the difference between chicks who survive and chicks who don't survive. Just my opinion.
