I am so happy for Madame X and Surge! There was heavy rain yesterday afternoon - not easy weather in which to incubate, but everything looks much better today.

In the fall of 2011, workers from Veolia Water Milwaukee built a nesting box and installed it on the roof of the Milorganite building at the Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility.  The box – which includes a hinged door to facilitate banding of the birds - attracted a nesting pair of Peregrines in spring of 2012.  Three young peregrines hatched, grew, and learned to fly from their perches 150 feet above ground.  In 2013, a pair once again made their nest in the box.

Quest and Kendal were both in the nest briefly this afternoon around 3:00 p.m.

Wonderful news! I am so happy that the Lady has two eggs. She is incredible.

This evening; three eggs. The way-below-average cold weather has continued. Yesterday there was a wind storm, followed by a snow storm; not the easiest conditions for the peregrines. Today brought a little more snow.

Today a second chick hatched, and now it looks as if a third egg is attempting to hatch.
