At last, there is good news of Marragaay.

Madame Marragaay makes an appearance

Published 24 November, 2017 | By Cilla Kinross

Every night before heading home, I check all the usual haunts, particularly a large dead tree in a paddock a few hundred metres from (and within clear sight of) the nest box. This was the tree in which our three youngsters used to congregate last year.

But every night, there was no luck until tonight. Fortunately, they were both there, so I could be sure it was Marragaay.

I crept a bit closer (keeping a wary eye out for the parents, and sheltering under a large yellow box). Marragaay was originally in a different (live) tree then flew to the dead tree to join her brother and looked every bit a peregrine in flight. Well fledged!

I’ll sleep well tonight.

Bali is the first photo and is higher up in the tree.

Carly, please thank Lucie for the photos of Aria. She is one aggressive falcon!

Thank you for checking with security on the progress of the work on the building, and updating them on the peregrines.

I had not seen much of Eve recently, but since the day after Spirit was released, Eve has been spending more time at the nest.

Saving Spirit..short documentary

Thank you, Kris! I was not able to see the video on CBC, but was finally able to see it on Opera, which is not a browser I normally use.

I wonder where Spirit is now, and can only hope she is safe.

Thank you, Penelope! I was able to watch the documentary on the YouTube link you provided. It is an excellent documentary, very interesting, and the views of Polly and Algo are beautiful.

I hope they will stay safe, and will be able to find a suitable place to nest.

Harriet laid her second egg at 5:36 p.m. today. Congratulations to Harriet and M15!

The cameras have been down most of the day and appear to be still down, so no photos of the new egg.

Thank you, Kris! It's an excellent article on Bailey; I just finished reading it. She is such an incredible bird, and so beautiful.
