The Palmyra beauty has been spending quite a bit of time at the nest lately:





She stayed for a while, and when she moved, her first egg came into view:

DC returns to the nest again:

I hadn't checked this nest for a few days, and when I went to the site today, it seemed that incubation was under way. After a while, the bird on the nest moved and I could see two eggs.

Later, as the light was fading fast, I had a clear view of three eggs, one of which looks newer than the others.

First egg this morning for the Sint-Niklaas pair:

The first egg for the Lokeren pair was laid late in the day on March 8. Last year, they raised three beautiful chicks.

The new camera has now been installed, and Ossie has visited the nest. Pic from the site: did not see anyone at the nest yesterday, and the whole site was down early this morning.
