YIKES, Lou! Ya think my relationship with Rhea Mae would qualify me for crossing the border permanently? [/quote] I refuse to not respond on the basis that my response may incriminate me. (I need an emoticon that has a yellow blobhead figure with a zippered lip.) Also, I've been a member too long to not know that we don't really get into political banter on the falcon board. Hah! Lou PS Where's my tea?

I am surprised that Juergen Pfleiderer from Heilbronn, Baden-Württemberg, Germany only got an Honorable Mention for his Radula of Buccinum undatum when it is clearly superior to the Sonchus asper flower stem section submitted by Gerd A. Guenther from Düsseldorf, Germany. I can understand the accolades for the Arabidopsis thaliana (thale cress) anther and the wrinkled photoresist, but Radulas are just so much more difficult to photograph than damn Sonchus asper sections!
Does anybody agree with me or am I out there all alone?
Lou

that's a REALLY good watch, Lou!
The way Archer's carrying that woodpecker is so iconic...like a kid would draw it, beak down. Also - I have to admit that after seeing Jim's shot of Beauty on Mercury's foot, I had a few seconds of wondering what anatomical bit of Mercury his moneybag might be.
Thanks!
The moneybag is in his hand, Dale. Does that help? Lou

Hope this isn't a concern for future Osprey nest sites.
The Osprey nest that was on the communication tower near us on Curtis Road in Greece has been removed. Below are a couple of pictures - one from last year and one taken recently. This was a well-established nest so I don't think that it was a nature-related removal.
Dana and I have been driving by occasionally to see if the Ospreys have returned to see their home removed, but we haven't seen anything.
We'll continue checking it out and report any developments. If any.
Lou
