We took a trip yesterday to visit with Quest and Kendal and our friends at the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and Harlequin. We wanted to see the beautiful new nest box that Quest and Kendal would call home. WONDERFUL! Hi Carol, Did you see Quest & Kendal around the new nest box? Just wondering, because I don't see any sign of them this morning. Also, I'm going to see what's up with the cam! Scott (our operator) probably isn't in yet. Maybe it got bumped or the tripod wasn't tightened enough. Hmm.... Cheers!

Well now I'm not sure. There's either a crack in the concrete, or that's the transmitter. From the front, through my binocs, I thought I saw some brown speckles. Now not sure! See attached:
UPDATE: Nevermind...that's Quest. Sigh. Though apparently Harlequin was spotted this a.m. by CEO Donna Hayes.

Hi All, I've just e-mailed our webcam guy to ask if he can zoom in on the nest for a bit. Fingers crossed. Not sure if I'm seeing Quest or Harlequin and I've been on vacation for a bit, so am not sure if Harlequin is still with us. Haven't heard her squawking! Hope we get to see her for a bit longer. As for photos, I've tried to take some, but they're very poor quality, even with the zoom lens that I have. Plus, our windows have a coating on them, which makes it even worse. Sorry, but I don't have one of those $8000 lenses that some folks do! Maybe one day.... sigh. Cheers, Kat PS...I *think* it's Quest on the nest. Hard to tell, even with my binocs!

Currently Quest (still hanging on to that transmitter!) is on the ledge to the right of the scrape and Kendal is perched on one of the overhanging bits off camera. He's been perching in this spot during the mornings for the past few days. Saw Harlequin (pretty sure it was her!) earlier this a.m., hanging in the nest box.

Just thought y'all would like to know that my co-worker Karen spotted all three flying about together this morning when she walked in to work. She said it was really nice to see them all together like that. Currently Quest and Harlequin are perched on the building, but just off camera. (I wish they'd let me control the webcam, as I'd be zooming in there!) Yesterday Quest and Harlequin came swooping upwards together right past my window and I nearly jumped out of my chair! As for the transmitter: still on there. Doesn't look (from behind) to be falling off or trailing, so not sure how long it'll continue to be with her. Hmm.

Hello again!
In case any of you are wondering about Quest's transmitter, she just flew by my window and it's still hanging in there!
Have been witnessing lots of fun and games with Harlequin and her parents: chasing and swooping and diving. Currently Harlequin's on the ledge to the right of the scrape ledge, chowing down on an afternoon snack!
UPDATE: now Kendal's got dinner and is making Harlequin chase him for it! Exciting!!
