I think it's background noise.

or one of them has a tiny jackhammer in there. I picture him done up like the construction worker guy from the Village People. Except more fabulous.

There's no pips on any of those eggs that I could see just now.

Generic and semi-generic. Seemed that way. Thanks.

Chris writes:

owlet no. 1 has not only begun climbing in recent days, but has reached the entry hole (a major accomplishment). The upshot of that is that owlet no. 1 should be leaving the nest sometime this week. As of today, the 16th, he/she is 25 days old, so the age is consistent with that conclusion. So, watch carefully. This week will be the most interesting of all.

Shaky (or whoever might know) - are some of the "chatters" actually bots? I'm not very experienced with these things, but I've noticed that that happens sometimes in chats like that.

A possum just had babies in my back yard. Animal control gave us the choice of having them carted off (i.e., destroyed) and leaving them alone. But my downstairs neighbors have two dogs. So we built a little maternity ward for her out of two endlessly heavy slabs of glass brick that were lying in the yard near her corner; the dogs shouldn't be able to get in, she can get in and out OK, and she has a luxurious back yard corner.

OK, as long as no one thinks it looks like a miniature beaver is coming to tea.
I wasn't going to say anything, but that was my first thought!  Glad I'm not the only one.

Colleen, it's like they say, "if you see something, say something!!"
Those beavers are trying to take away our freedoms!

Poor ducklings - they can survive?  Shocked

the report said that normally, the ducklings would be called to by their parents and would jump out. Hopefully, they will jump! Clearly the owl, although a predator, is not bothering them.

Yikes!  That's the first time I've heard either of them!  Beauty was just kakking-she sounded like a duck!

What really sounds like "quack quack" is that small comment that comes after you hear wings and before a bird appears on cam to cover the eggs. Maybe, "Hi, eggs!" or "1, 2, 3 . . ." in peregrine?

The video doesn’t even mention that they have been observed trying to copulate with male American Robins in breeding plumage. Fortunately the Robin will have none of it.
