Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / question - kaver and kestrel - c. July 2005

Two historical questions - In July 2005, didn't Kaver take a kestrel? I remember that he did. Then, I searched "kestrel" on the yahoo group -- there were hundreds of posts mentioning kestrels from 2004 and 2006 and NONE from 2005. Did we lose a ton of posts off of those archives? Like ALL of 2005? Has all evidence of Kaver's kestrel hit, as well as Shaky's secret meeting with the Godfeather (I did find my original of that) been expunged from the record??

A perfect way to celebrate! I am one of perhaps three people in the world who enjoys listening to yodeling!! Gayle
Well, then, here's the most appropriate yodeling to celebrate an egg-laying with - the immortal Cackle Sisters! "The yodeling perfected by the DeZuriks was much more than falsetto. Among their talents were complex imitations of animal sounds. "We listened to the birds and tried to sing with the birds," Carolyn DeZurik recalled many years later." Here's an old (2005) NPR bit on them, with plenty of wonderful examples! Besides the clips they play in the 6-minute story, there are a number of full songs included if you scroll down on the webpage! http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4775844

that's a REALLY good watch, Lou!
The way Archer's carrying that woodpecker is so iconic...like a kid would draw it, beak down. Also - I have to admit that after seeing Jim's shot of Beauty on Mercury's foot, I had a few seconds of wondering what anatomical bit of Mercury his moneybag might be.
Thanks!
