Cant get channel 2.  Don't know if another bird just came in for quick bonding with DC. He was bowed and chupping 12:06-7

Intruder back. Female. Landed on pad at beginning of wall to right of NB, visible on CAM 4 & CAM 3 & 1.

B took off.

Hi! I know it's been a while since I've posted.  Watching the last few days.  Is is possible there's  a female intruder around today and the last few days?  B's stance/vocals, DC staying at box.... Quick bonding sessions then B leaves for a bit.  This is classic B in intruder mode... Her last vocalizations may be DC bringing in prey (1:50 ish ET), but seems like something else may be going on.


Don't mean to be a downer, I, too,  think B is close to laying an egg.  Just a very vulnerable time for her.

Really hoping it's nothing but a passerby.

Yesterday (11/7), when Beauty was at Powers, there were some strange fly-bys and one almost hit another... and was circling around Powers.  

Terka posted pictures on BCAW.  It was around 15:23.  

If there are archives of that, you might be able to see what was going on.

The recording of video stream is still being processed by YouTube. It was a 45-hour recording. Recordings that long take days time to process. Maybe it will be ready to publish this weekend.

Thank you Shaky.  I just had a few minutes to watch it and should have posted something yesterday, but didn't even have time to watch the Powers cams, or maybe I would have recognized if Beauty (assuming it was her) was vocalizing as if it was an intruder and could have posted something for the watchers.  Sorry  

Are these the right photos ?  I've copied them over - this is when B was there as posted here yesterday.  Were you watching the stream then NCA and saw that?  

Yes.  Yesterday, after I saw Terka's pictures, I watched cam1 on YouTube, was able to back it up to the time and saw the strange flying, but somehow, all the video clips/times are not on YouTube. I thought they archived, but I can't find it now.

I saw 1 swoop on 1, and then saw the circling around Powers.

I guess the question becomes... Was DC's other mate this year unbanded?  Did his second mate come downtown to claim the territory?  Only the watchers will be able to tell us about his second mate and what they observed, how many young did they have, etc?  They don't have to release the site information, but at least confirm if DC had additional young.

Saw the tweet regarding DC at Powers.  Looked at pic and noticed Beauty in the background.  She arrived at 6:48pm.  I don't see any still that indicates she joined him in the box. She was there until about 8:01pm.

Getting ready for tryouts on either  The Voice or America's Got Talent.

   Right, the blind auditions on The Voice.

Just watched the 5pm feed.  This reminds me of year 1 with this pair when Orion was hatched and DC tried to control the feedings.  Maybe this is the way to moderate feedings, especially if he has to provide for 2 sites especially for the first few weeks until B can leave them alone and she can hunt to supplement. Just a thought.  

Anyone seeing this... if you back up feed 2 on You Tube to 19:15, just after DC leaves (which his rapid chirping makes me think there might be an intruder - because he wasn't kaaking)... anyway, you can here the kids in the eggs.  Sounds like muffled dog barks to my ear & no headphones in!  Soon...

Also, you can hear DC in the background up above & there a quick fly-by while eggs are unattended until Beauty comes back around 19:17 (cam time)
