Hope that's from fresh prey!
Yes, as I recall they were both dragging something around at that point this morning.
You can see the prey in the cam 3 pic Annette posted right above this one.

auntiewood (grannywood): ST falcon rpt- adult falcon west side roof top rail

Yep.  It's always been called Seneca Towers, and always ST on this board, at least since Billy was hanging out there.

Feeling dumb...where is ST? paperbag
Seneca Towers - a senior citizen apartment complex on St. Paul Street on the east bank of the Genesee River, about three miles north of downtown.

secret2 Don't feel bad...I didn't know either.  Should probably be added to our Glossary along with some other abreviations watchers use.

Didn't we used to call it something else? I remember when Billy was hanging out near there...it's near the Hawkeye plant & Driving Park Bridge, right?

I wonder if it was the Coopers hawk from a few days ago.

2277  Other Nature Related Information / General Nature Discussion / Injured or Stunned Hawk at Thomson Reuters Complex Last Evening on: 01-Apr-14, 11:28:06 AM
Remember last evening (3/31) when DC was hollering at something, and we thought perhaps it was a gull?  Well, mystery solved.  This morning at work one of my co-workers shared these photos with me of a possibly injured and stunned juvenile hawk (Cooper's or red-tailed?) near the rear entrance to the Thomson Reuters complex.  It was definitely within sight of the nestbox and the rest of the Times Square Building.  She thought perhaps it had hit the building, but I wonder if perhaps it tangled with one of our falcons.  She wondered whom she should call, other than Animal Control, but it flew away. Hopefully it has recovered and it will stay away.

I just love the lighting on Beauty with the darkness of the nest box behind her.

Very nice!
