All of your pics and videos have been wonderful, MAK, and thanks so much for taking the time to take them and post them.  And I didn't think the all of the dogs were scary.   But we miss you!  Hopefully you'll be heading back up north soon.

Could very well be, Donna.  I was out walking on Fitzhugh Street by City Hall shortly after that time.  I saw what I think was a falcon flying very fast over Kodak and then a few minutes later I spotted Beauty (her back was to me so I can't be sure) in that maze of gray/green iron girders underneath the platform on FCT. 

Oh, what precious photos of the calf, MAK!  Makes me think about becoming a vegetarian.  I guess it's all about keeping things in perspective.

Oh, and one more thing.  Dare I say it?  This doesn't have much to do with the cold, but I miss the crows at Washington Square Park here in Rochester.  The city scared them away, but they made life interesting for me while waiting for my bus across from the park.  There were thousands of them.  They're very social.  It seemed like they were holding committee meetings in each of the park's trees, and there were assigned crow liaisons that would fly from tree to tree and then report back to the members of the committee in the first tree.   

It's so good to see them!

I had to drive to and from work yesterday and today, for reasons not related to the weather. I usually take the bus to and from work, but I was somewhat glad to forsake it for my car for past two days.  I say "somewhat" because the driving hasn't been that good.  Still, I waited for the bus in almost zero degree weather and strong winds on Monday, and didn't relish having to do that on Tuesday and today.  The weather is slowly improving, though. 

Definitely two here.

I saw this on on the end of my block eating a duck, I live in Windsor Ontario on the 600 block of Kildare road. He appears to have a tags on both of his legs.

CPF: Thank you Garett for this outstanding photo!! This could very well be our mystery girl in Windsor that is with the unbanded male at the Chrysler building. From what I could gather so far, she was hatched in 2012 to Belle and Allen and her name is either Unity II or Aura. When I know more we shall post but it looks like this is our girl from the second Windsor nest!

Unity II?  Oh, how lovely!  I didn't know Unity had a namesake born after Unity's death.  And am I correct in thinking she would be Unity's sister as well? 

Oh, poor Ranger!  At least she is no longer suffering. And poor Hunter now that Ranger is lost.
