Here are a couple of pictures of a cormorant (and gull and duck) and GBH on the Genesee River yesterday.  I took the cormorant picture in the morning, when the sun was shining and before RG&E started letting water over the Court Street dam at a faster rate. 

By the way, I'm pleased to report that, for the first time in a long time, Mercury and its environs are scaffold-free and is ready to welcome falcons again any time.

Yes, the Met Life blimp has been following a circular route in the skies above downtown Rochester this morning.  I was hoping rfalconcam would catch it.  And I think you're right, Ei, it's for the PGA at Oak Hill Country Club.

Yes, the Met Life blimp has been following a circular route in the skies above downtown Rochester this morning.  I was hoping rfalconcam would catch it.  And I think you're right, Ei, it's for the PGA at Oak Hill Country Club.

I had two pleasant surprises today at around 12:45 PM while traveling east along Route 104.  About a mile west of the Irondequoit Bay Bridge I saw a peregrine flying from south to north, crossing over Route 104.  I continued traveling east on 104 and, still thrilled with the peregrine sighting, I saw an eagle flying from north to south as I approached the Holt Road exit off 104 in Webster, perhaps five miles from where I saw the falcon.  What a great day!
