Exactly, Glo!  The Times Square Building and its nestbox are an awesome place for juvies to train! 

Wow, she climbed up that ladder like she knew that's exactly why it was there, and like she'd been doing it all the time.  Great flight, and she's still got time to work on gaining altitude and sticking those landings.   

Hurray for our baby girl!  I'm so proud of her, and of all of our babies!

We are having severe thunder storms and power outages right now.  Bad line of storms moving through due to heat and humidity.

Edit to add:  severe flooding happening now in some areas.  Unbelievable amount of rain falling in the past hour.

We got what I think was the same storm here in Rochester about an hour later, 6:15-6:30.  Stay safe, everyone!

Oh Joyce, these photos are beautiful, and they make me wistful.  Our boy is growing up!

I have another question.....are there bathroom facilities at the park?   

I know there are restaurants near by but usually they require you to buy something to use them. And some of the other buildings may be closed on Saturdays or not have public bathrooms.

There are no public restrooms at Aqueduct Park (it's a very tiny park). I believe most of the restaurants are closed, but Subways may be open, and if you want to take a short walk across the Main Street Bridge, the convention center is usually open.  And there are public facilities in the hotels, and maybe the Blue Cross Arena as well, if something is going on there.  The weekend watchers can tell you more.

Watchers beware!  There will be street closures in downtown Rochester this Thursday for a NASCAR event.  I am sure this is for the benefit of the young members of the falcon family who missed the Spiderman filming.

There are places to sit at the park, but not a lot of them, so they'll fill up fast.  It's not a bad idea to bring a folding chair for that and for fledge watching in the area.
