My, but he does clean up well.   

Dot.ca was on the eggs a lot last year.  He most often took the afternoon shift - three, sometimes four hours in the hot sun (often record heat in 2012), because the season started a month later for them last year.  There were many times also when Beauty would come back to the nestbox and there'd be a standoff between the two of them because he didn't want to get off the eggs.

My thoughts and prayers are with the residents of Boston and with the people who were wounded and who lost loved ones.  And a big thank you to all the falcon fans on the chat stream who helped me out and wished me well as I was trying to get in touch with my nephew yesterday.  I was so glad to know he was safe at home.  He has been at the finish line every year for the last eight years, sometimes just watching and sometimes helping out in the medical tent (he is a chiropractor).  This year, for the first time since he has lived in Boston, he decided to stay home. 

There are only three out there now and they're way over near the corner of Broad St. and South Ave.  Maybe the rest are being power washed, getting ready for the summer season.  Seems to me there are usually more there. 

I was actually a bit too far east to see Beauty on OCSR, at one of the few picnic tables they have set out for the season at the library.  I looked up there as I was setting out for the library, but it was around 11:45, when she wasn't there. 

I saw it on TSB at about 12:10.  Didn't see it land there, though, so not sure how long it was there.  I'm thinking not long, probably just a couple of minutes.  Then about five minutes after I saw it, it took off and flew east over the river.
