I just did a brief lunchtime falcon watch from the Broad Street Bridge.  Very quiet, and very pleasant weather.  Saw just one falcon, on TSB on NE middle ledge above the nestbox.  That falcon took off and headed east, where I lost it over South Avenue Garage.

Thanks for posting, Jeanne.  As a regular RTS bus rider who has to cross Main Street twice a day on work days, I can tell it's going to be an adventure trying to get get to and from work for those ten days!

Wow, that is indeed horrible! 

The husband of a lifelong friend of mine from Rochester owns the company that built the cams for that nest in Norfolk.  They are just sick about the situation there. She says every time the eagles build a nest in the garden, officials destroy it with paintball guns. I'm so glad to see there's good news for at least one of the Norfolk eaglets.   

Icicles on the roof and mommy has an egg-shaped butt.  Must be spring in Rochester!

If they were to involve the Times Square Building in the filming, they'd have to speak with that building's facilities manager.  He's well aware of the pefas, and I'm sure he'd lay down the law.   

We're supposed to be a stand-in for New York City, so I'm hoping that means they're going to keep the cameras and the action at street level, where we might look a bit like NYC, and not up in the air, where we don't look like it at all.  And I certainly wouldn't want to tangle with Beauty or Dot.ca, especially during May.

Don't know if this is something to be concerned about or not, but some car chase scenes for "The Amazing Spiderman 2" will be filmed along Main Street west of the Genesee River in Rochester during the first two weeks of May.  That's just one block north of the nestbox.  The below clip tells more about it and shows several favorite falcon spots.  Car chase scenes tell me the action will be on the ground, which is good.  Several hundred people are involved in the filming, and some 3,000 hotel room nights have been booked.

Thanks for the information, Carly.  I wish Dot.ca and his dad could somehow get together so Jack could give him a crash course in two nest parenting.  I guess we just have to trust their instincts.
