B&DC flew in simultaneously with the prey, and B either had it then or immediately after they arrived.   She had it at the nestbox for about two minutes before DC took it away.  A few minutes later he showed up with a small food package in Brighton.

He took the food to BS!  The nerve!!!   

Food fight, and DC won.

She sure has, Joyce.  I was recently looking at the photo of her from about a year ago, and the difference was quite remarkable.

Glad to hear it, MAK.  Funny, for not having offspring herself, Unity was connected to many of our falcons; niece and rival of Beauty, cousin of Orion, and mate to Archer and Dot.ca.  And though Pigott doesn't know it, in many ways she is Unity's successor.  Let's hope she becomes a mom and has a long and healthy life.

Thanks for the dedication, MAK, and thanks for the clip, Ei.  RIP magnificent Unity, niece of Beauty, daughter of Belle and granddaughter of Dorothy.  I shuddered when I read that Pigott went after some wild turkeys on the ground today.  I'm glad that today's results weren't tragic.  These beautiful birds should never go anywhere near the ground (or the road)!   

Oh, I wish we'd find out that Archer is alive and well and enjoying life with his new mate somewhere.
