Those streaming this site from a distance should check out this episode of Ghost Hunters. If nothing else, it might yield some video of the library exterior and the Broad Street Bridge. I'll be watching and trying not to get spooked out.

Yes, they are gentle giants, particularly Grace, who weighs in at about 16 pounds. Six years ago Grace was a stray who gave birth to five kittens (including Shadow) in a garage, unbeknownst to the owner of the garage. When Grace went out to get food, the owner boarded up the window through which she'd gotten into the garage, not knowing there were five kittens in there. Grace came back, saw the window was boarded up, and dug a hole in the gravel driveway and managed to squeeze herself through. She only weighed about six pounds then, just skin and bones on her very large frame. She was a supermom! A lady who had been feeding Grace noticed that she was back at her house and suddenly very thin, so she thought there must be a litter somewhere. She followed Grace to her neighbor's garage where she found the litter, and took Grace and her litter up to her finished and heated attic, where they spent the next eight weeks. She found homes for all of the other kittens too, and no one had to go to a shelter.
Shadow was the runt of the litter, and she was named Shadow because she always follows her mom around. I named the mom Grace because I foolishly thought I was her saving grace. It turned out she was my saving grace. I've had them both since right after the litter was weaned, and I wouldn't trade them for all the tea in China. They are both very precious.

Here are pics of my two female Maine Coon mixes. Grace is the mom of Shadow, and they are rescues.

(movie) Man out there, where Jemi and Orion fledged. There were two people out there during the day for a few minutes, perhaps the same day or the day before this video. I was looking at TSB through my binocs at the time, and seeing them made me jump back a bit! It seemed like they were pointing right at me! I saw Carol P. on the BSB on my way home that night. She said she had seen them as well and had let June know about it.

Okay, Donna. I hope KPF is okay and comes back sometime. DotCa has not been spotted in either of his two usual sites since Wednesday afternoon, when he had several on camera adventures here downtown with his dinner and his hungry mate, Beauty. I'm not a pefa expert, but I'm thinking we could attribute that to one of two things. For the past two days, the First Federal Building (known on this board and on the stream as OCSR, has had window washers on its north side all day Thursday and today as well. Yesterday when I saw them their scaffolding was right at the top ibeam on the NE side. B&DC don't regularly perch on that side of the building, but anything out of the ordinary like that may be enough to scare them away from OCSR entirely. Also, both downtown and BS have been invaded by many thousands of crows this week. I think the pefas are just laying a bit low.
