Very cool, Ei! Thanks for posting. This story reminded me that about 80-90 years ago my grandfather was an elevator operator in the Wilder Building. My mom used to work in that building too, and I'm right in the neighborhood now in the Aqueduct Building.

MAKfalcon (MAK): Gustov, my spandex bike riding friend just peddled up to me to get an update. I met him on BSB in the beginning of summer. Hmmm...I'll have to keep an eye out for Gustov myself.

Anything Else / Totally OT / Song For Ireland - Beautiful lyrics about falcons

In addition to being a pefa fan, I play and sing traditional Irish music. A few weeks ago I realized that a song I used to sing years ago, called Song for Ireland (by Phil & June Colclough), has some beautiful lyrics about falcons in its first and last verses. Here are the lyrics to the entire song.
Walking all the day, near tall towers where falcons build their nests Silver winged they fly, they know the call of freedom in their breasts Saw black head against the sky with twisted rocks that run down to the sea
Chorus:
Living on your western shore, saw summer sunsets, asked for more I stood by your Atlantic sea and sang a song for Ireland
Talking all the day with true friends who try to make you stay Telling jokes and news, singing songs to pass the night away Watched the Galway salmon run like silver dancing darting in the sun
Drinking all the day in old pubs where fiddlers love to play Someone touched the bow, he played a reel that seemed so grand and gay Stood on Dingle beach and cast in wild foam we found Atlantic bass
Dreaming in the night I saw a land where no one had to fight Waking in your dawn I saw you crying in the morning light Lying where the falcons fly, they twist and turn all in your rare blue sky
