Just curious how these m/f falcons find all these nests!! Are they just cruising along and they see a place and think, "Hey, this looks like a good place", or do they see another falcon and follow and think, "this is a good place to start a fight for the nest?" It just baffles me that usually at every nest site, you find a 3rd ready to battle it out or try!! As big as all these areas are, they find the nests!! And they don't have AAA or Michelin, or apartmentfinder.com, or anything like that!

Thank you so much for watching and posting about it, Carly. I can't bear to watch.
I can't bear to tear myself away now so I understand how you feel. I want to step away but I'm so afraid something horrible will happen - as if I could somehow stop that by watching. *sigh* I am going to take a break soon though and eat, I'm sure it's not healthy to be parked in front of my monitor watching this for 2 days steady. It's harder now that I know it's Cadence...if you know what i mean. I sure do.

I'm just catching up too, Carol. So sad to see this battle, especially because it involves eggs. Cadence comes from a couple of lines of strong females, however, and she now carries the mantel of her clutch brothers, Bronx and Genesee. I am hoping and praying she comes out of this okay, and that the resident female heals, but I know that may be a vain hope.
On an interesting side note, we now have 100% proof that the blue feet turn yellow, as Cadence was a true blue foot.

All the social stream posts disappeared from both rfalconcam and Ustream sometime this morning. Bummer! I hope they come back soon. The stream itself is there, but below is just a large white field.
